Gorgeous
It is a lot colder in Evergreen than Denver.
Pie, team tent and my child loved the playground.
One of the best executed races I've ran. Great communication leading up to the event and after. Was on the Solterra team. Thanks for the private bus.

Loved the free parking and shuttle! It was my first time and I really don't have any complaints
Yes, I did my first 1/2 marathon in 2013 at 2 hours 42 min. My goal was to do it in 2:30 and I finished at 2:13!
It was a little hard on the knee but good!
I have been taking on the cherry creek trail that is up and down heal. I also did strengthen of my legs!
Prepare for the down hill better
I met new people on the bus and while waiting for the race to start and after did the beer garden!
Great time!
A little chilly in the morning but I warmed up quickly. Beautiful scenery the entire race!
Yes...by 9 minutes
Awesome...unbeatable path paralleling the water
I didn't train like I should have or like I have in the past. I think I ran a dozen times in the last 3 months with the longest distance being 6 miles. I would be interested to see how much I could shave off my time by putting more miles in.
Be sure to bring the solar blanket. I borrowed a friends since he had a fleece already.
I'm from Denver so I didn't do anything special.
Amazing experience. Loved the course!!!
Yes!! I did the colfax last year and got 1:58 and today I got a 1:46!! Last year was my first half marathon after being overweight and I've been running since so I attribute some of those pr minutes to that but I think I would have PR'd anyways.
Scenery, grade, elevation were all perfect!
I didn't do enough down hill work but my knees and body felt ok. I would not really change my 3 month plan. I ran 1p miles of the course the week before for my 10 mile long run and it really helped to know the course.
Don't plan for negative splits even though you still can. Plan to run right under your red line. Charge the last 3 miles.
I loved taking pictures and enjoying my race beer afterwards.
Great experience. Good organization. Lots of support. Well organized. Loved the course.
No. Within 3 minutes.
Hard to run downhill for that length. Sore hips. Blisters but enjoyed it.
HAVEN'T TRAINED. This was my 5th half this year but I haven't run in about a month. We just moved to Evergreen.
Do it. Great race.
I live here.
Perfect
My first full marathon
Tougher than I thought, my quads were done by mile 15 but of course the run wasn't
Used a training course
Train for down hill
Sight see, shop and eatTraveled from West Virgini
Beautiful scenery
excellent organization, great course, plenty of water stops - not crazy about the uphill finish line :)
No - I really wanted to do a sub 2:00 but the downhills got the best of me
beautiful!!!!
not consistent - dealing with an injury currently
TRAIN for the downhill, watched the embankment of the road as well - my foot started to bother me
hope this race comes back, I want to run it again
