Consistent Effort with Strategic Speed Burst Luis Enrique Jara Cubillo ran the 2025 REVEL Big Bear Half Marathon with a final time of 2:01:17 and an average pace of 9:15 min/mile. A notable aspect of the run was his strategic pacing, especially with a faster split of 8:16 min/mile at the 7th mile, highlighting targeted speed bursts. His initial miles were consistent, starting at an 8:35 min/mile pace in the first mile and improving slightly to an 8:32 min/mile in the third mile. Despite some slowing in the latter half, where split times exceeded 9:00 min/mile, he maintained a resilient effort. Luis placed 534th in the Men's category and 54th in the M45-49 age division, out of 1808 participants. Maintaining a more consistent split during the latter stages of the race could further enhance performance.
