Consistent Start and Stamina Challenges in the Second Half Zipeng Zhang maintained a commendable pace during the early sections of the 2025 REVEL Big Bear Half Marathon. Starting off with a steady pace around 10:01 to 10:18 min/mile for the first seven miles, he achieved consistent improvement in his placement throughout this phase. Notably, he reached his highest division placement at 75th in Mile 4, displaying solid pacing strategy during the initial miles. The latter part of the race presented some challenges as the pace gradually slowed. From Mile 8 onwards, the pace dropped from around 10:09 min/mile to finally 12:46 min/mile overall, affecting his standings. This resulted in a division placement of 85th by the end of the race. Focusing on maintaining pace and strategizing for sustained endurance in the second half could enhance future performances. Nonetheless, Zipeng completed the half marathon with determination as part of Team Crowsnest.
