Pace Consistency and Late-Race Surge Lauren Adams from Halifax, MA delivered a consistent performance in the 2025 REVEL White Mountains Half Marathon. With an overall time of 2:22:50, Lauren maintained an average pace just under 11:00 min/mile, showcasing a commendable level of endurance across the 13.1 miles. Although she started at a slightly slower split of 11:02 in the first mile, she demonstrated a strong capacity to gradually improve her pace, particularly evident from mile four where her split dropped to 10:29 min/mile. Her finishing result ranked her 484th among female participants and 73rd in her division, F40-44. One of the highlights was her impressive performance in the middle stages of the race. During miles 6 and 7, Lauren was able to achieve back-to-back splits below 10:30 min/mile. She displayed a great ability to focus and recover towards the end, moving significantly up in her division. Continuing to focus on maintaining this mid-race pace, especially as slight fatigue becomes apparent, may help optimize future races.
