Steady Start, Challenging Finish Michael Rickaby, 68, demonstrated a commendable effort at the 2025 REVEL White Mountains Marathon. Initially, Michael maintained a consistent pace, with the first half of the race featuring his fastest split at mile 2, clocking in at 9:16 minutes per mile. His early splits showed control, with a cumulative elapsed time of 58:46 at the 6-mile mark and pace mostly under 10 minutes per mile through to the 8-mile point. His placement within the M65-69 division fluctuated, appearing as high as 7th. In the latter half of the race, the pace gradually declined, culminating in a 12:41 minutes per mile overall pace. Through miles 19 to 21, Michael maintained sub-16-minute splits. Despite a slower second half, crossing the finish at 5:32:18, Michael has a solid benchmark for future races.
