Consistent Early Pacing with a Strong Finish Silpa Reddy displayed a remarkable consistency in pace throughout the marathon, maintaining around an 8:50-9:00 min/mile for much of the race. She started strong with an impressive first mile at 8:53 min/mile, holding this pace through the first four miles. Notably, at the five-mile mark, her pace quickened to 8:45 min/mile and she improved her placement in her age group division (F35-39) from 51st to 46th. In the latter half, there was a slight dip in speed between miles 18 and 21, where her pace dropped to over 10 min/mile. However, she executed a well-timed final surge, finishing the last mile at an impressive 8:44 min/mile. Despite the late-race pace fluctuations, Silpa managed an overall time of 4:14:44, achieving an average pace of 9:43 min/mile.
