  2. Describe your race day.

The race had some small hills during the first 4 miles but then after that it was clear sailing back down! The course was spectacular. I have completed the marathon distance at all the Revel locations and Mt. Lemmon may have the best combination of downhill/scenery. The race volunteers and Revel crew were amazing. The entire event was well organized from the bus ride up the hill to the shuttles back to the cars afterward. This is definitely a repeat run:-).

  3. Did you PR?

I run to run. I don't run for time so I did not PR. I ran it because I've ran Revel before and love the organization. Did I BQ? Nope but I run because I love it and love the people that I meet and the great places that I get to see.

  4. How would you describe the course?

The course is beautiful. The first four miles of climb makes you appreciate the downhill even more. Winding down the mountain, nestled in the canyon seeing all the wonderful rock formations was amazing!

  5. What advice would you give future runners?

Practice running downhill whenever possible - shorten the stride and don't think that gravity will just take you down the hill. You still need to pace yourself.

  6. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We live close (Phoenix) but we actually had dinner the night before at Casa Molina - fabulous place that had wonderful Vegetarian Fajitas.
