  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

My best memory is the thrill of racing downhill in such a beautiful setting.

  3. Did you PR?

I set a Personal Best by about 17 minutes. Qualifying for Boston was not one of my goals.

  4. How would you describe the course?

The scenery was great. The elevation was fine. I wish the grade was slightly steeper. The only issue I had was the last mile. It would have been much better to continue on the same road rather than running the twisty uphill roads through the neighborhood.

  5. Tell us about your training.

We trained at a higher elevation with about the same grade. I would not have done anything differently.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Drive the course the day before the race so you know what you were facing and that there are some uphill parts of the race.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

    Nothing unusual.

We stayed at the Radisson. I would not recommend using them again as a race hotel. They were not cooperative on check in or late check out. They gave us a chapstick & a bag of peanuts. The to go "breakfast was nothing I could use. They kept the pool open until 11 the night before the race & did not supervise the area and did not stop the screaming children & adults playing in the pool & hot tub. The personnel generally had no idea that they were a "race" hotel and knew nothing about the race.

The race itself was very organized. I appreciated that there were sufficient water stops and port-a-potties along the way. Thank you.

The check in and race were well organized. I appreciated that there were sufficient water stops and port-a-potties along the way. The race experience was great. The volunteers and staff could not have been nicer or more enthusiastic.
