Chilly, nervous, and exciting.

Yes. By about 30 minutes.

How would you describe the course?
Umm, down.

Tell us about your training.
Peaked around 35+ miles per week. Tried to fit in weekly hill training.

What advice would you give future runners?
Start slower going through the first few miles of undulating terrain. Save your legs for the 20 miles of straight downhill.

What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?
None. We are from Gilbert and stayed at a grandparents’ house the night before.
I found the medal a little disappointing this year. Previous years designs were simpler and more attractive. This year’s medal was cluttered.
