    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

Pretty awesome: well organized from the loading area to the end. Comfortable coach buses to the start, the Mt. Lemmon community center was open for us. Beautiful views/ pine trees at the start. 26.2 miles of downhill later... a great finish with good food, Lagunitas beer and easy loading buses back to the car. The Pima County Sheriff's dept did a great job of keeping cars limited and organized: a big shout out to them. Thank you to all the volunteer crews who passed out water/ Powerade and kept on encouraging. I finished much stronger than expected and did make my BQ time!

  3. Did you PR?

    No, but did BQ

  4. How would you describe the course?

Down, down, down.... I live in Tucson, I love Mt. Lemmon: it is one of my favorite places. I loved the opportunity to run down the Catalina Highway and really observe all the climate zones/ scenery

  5. Tell us about your training.

Trained w/ group of running friends: just put in the miles....

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Enjoy the day! Re; weather: it was not as cold at the top as listed on weather apps: did not need multiple layers. The desert gets hot as soon as sun comes up: dress for the end of the race!

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Live here... For out of town guests, I would alway recommend Saguaro National Park, Tohono Chul Botanic Garden or the AZ Sonora Desert Museum
