Strong Start; Division Podium Finish Jan Pantelakis started the 2025 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon with a strong opening mile at a pace of 6:57 min/mile, securing first in her F55-59 division for multiple splits. She maintained an impressive pace below 7:00 min/mile for the first eight miles, including a noteworthy 4th and 5th mile at 6:37 min/mile and 6:44 min/mile respectively. Despite some slowing in the final miles, Jan sustained her overall division placement well. Successfully finishing second in her age group and completing the race in 1:35:50 (7:18 min/mile pace), Jan demonstrated consistent strength across several segments. Although slight variance occurred in pacing around mile 9, focusing on sustaining the earlier pace throughout could enhance performance further. Celebrating her division placement is warranted, as her efforts continue to mark her as a competitive runner in her category.
