Consistent Start with Strategic Opportunities Ahead Chris maintained a well-paced run across the initial segments of the 2025 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon, with consistent splits hovering near a 7-minute mile. Starting with a 6:59 min/mile pace, he improved slightly to 6:52 min/mile by mile 2, showing stamina and control. The fourth mile was Chris's fastest at 6:48 min/mile, indicating a strong mid-race surge. However, from mile 9 onwards, there was a noticeable slow-down, closing at a 9:15 min/mile for mile 12 but he made a slight recovery by mile 13. The overall elapsed time was 1:38:35, yielding a 7:31 min/mile pace over the half marathon distance. While Chris's placing in the M19-24 division was 50 out of 72, there are constructive opportunities to focus on maintaining energy levels in the latter half. Encouragingly, strategies can be tailored to sustain early momentum through the entire race, setting the stage for continued improvement.
