Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Mark Performance Sam Bishop demonstrated a commendable performance at the 2025 REVEL Big Cottonwood Half Marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 1:18:54 and maintaining an impressive average pace of 6:01 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. Sam demonstrated a strong start with a 6:26 min/mile pace in the first mile, progressively improving his pace to below six minutes between miles 4 and 10. Notably, he sustained a solid pace under six minutes by mile 10, and managed to maintain consistent splits with only a minor slowdown in the last two miles, clocking in at 6:20 for the final stretches. Compared to his performance last year, Sam improved his overall time by 30 seconds and paced 2 seconds faster on average per mile. He placed 20th overall out of 3,972 participants and was 7th in the male 19-24 age division. Continuing to focus on maintaining the strong closing speed he exhibited in the final stages could further enhance his performance in future events.
