  1. Overall Rating

    4/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

loved how buses came to all the hotels and bused them directly to starting line
also loved how they started on time
loved the really cold wet towels after finishing to cool down with
    loved running with friends

  3. Did you PR?

    no

  4. How would you describe the course?

severe downhill first 3 miles, then uphill 1 mile, then even more severe downhill until miles 18. Mile 19-22 gets really hard after doing all that downhill fast running. During this time you run up and down hills. Very mentally and physically difficult. Loved ending going downhill the last 4 miles. That really helped a lot. The scenery is gorgeous, with the trees beginning to change to Fall colors. Enjoyed the scenery very much!

  5. Tell us about your training.

Trained consistently and did 2-20 milers in preparation for this race. I would have tried to find a steeper hill to downhill train on. My toes, calves and quads were not ready for the amount of intense downhill that we did.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Be prepared to have extremely sore toes, quads, and calves!

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

traveled from Cache Valley, Utah. Enjoyed the expo before hand, and a high school cross country meet in Murray.

I would have really liked fruit at more of the aid stations from 16 on. Also- there was only 1 of the three aid stations that actually cut the small oranges in half so we could grab and easily eat them. The other 2 aid stations had the full small oranges to eat, but weren't even sliced in half. Not sure how they expected us to peel this on the run and then eat it? Great race!
