  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

The sea of Mylar at the start was a cool scene. New PR was also great. You guys did awesome job. Aid stations were well stocked and staffed. The iced towel at finish was a nice feature.

  3. Did you PR?

Yes by 0:03:40. No BQ. Closer but need to work on pacing better.

  4. How would you describe the course?

Visually incredible. Underestimated the steepness of some parts- need to train on steeper descents. I live in Houston so elevation affected me on the climbs - especially the one at mile 3.

  5. Tell us about your training.

More steep descents. Tough to do in Houston. Just means more parking garage training with steep ramps.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train transitioning from steep downhill to flat and small rollers. Make sure to consider shoe forefoot cushioning. I'm glad I did.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Nice drives through the mountains still here for couple of days so more to do. I'm from Houston,TX.
