  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

It was such a beautiful day and gorgeous course, well organized, great support from volunteers and police, Revel did a great job! Best part -- I finished!!

  3. Did you PR?

No. I keep getting older and slower (I'm 77).

  4. How would you describe the course?

Beautiful scenery, pretty steep in some parts (S-curve),but generally a great downhill course. I love it!

  5. Tell us about your training.

I didn't train as well as I should have due to some health issues, so I was quite anxious about feeling well enough and strong enough to finish. I hope to be able to do more consistent training and cross-training.
Hill training (down) is very important!

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

I would advise anyone planning to do this race to train on down-hills. I live here so can't really advise about traveling. Lots of dining choices in local area. Layered clothing is best because it's chilly at the start and pretty warm by finish time. Weather is usually warm, but could have rain.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Nothing special before or after. I live here -- about 1 mile from Ft.Union area.

The event was very well organized and Revel thought of everything. Great expo, great transport, great # of porta-potties, great water stations, great police support, great finish area -- all in all, a great event!
