  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

Although I ran with injury, I was able to Boston Qualfy again this year. The race is a well run race, with amazing volunteers, and a great finishing line .

  3. Did you PR?

This was not a PR , due to achilles injury, but my best qualifying time this year , for Boston of 5 marathons.

  4. How would you describe the course?

Everyone says this marathon is easy. I beg to defer. The downhill is tough on your legs and then the out and back , is mental. The year it was 8 miles , was even harder. I think that the beauty of this canyon is spectacular though.

  5. Tell us about your training.

I did train a little down the canyon this year, but trained more on trail and at the Pikes Peak Ultra a bit more. I also ran Run Elevated to get the road downhill.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train a bit in the canyon , and do the out and back from about 8 miles up the canyon. Figure out something for heat and calf cramps . Train in heat .
I wear Hokas and they are great for downhill. Smoky Mountain Pizza in Sandy, has a great salmon and pasta meal.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Trail ran and enjoyed the beauty of our canyons.
