  1. Overall Rating

    4/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

It was a great start, with a bus at the Hampton to take us to the start line.
Arrived about an hour early, with plenty of porta potties! The race start was on time, and the course was very scenic, and mostly downhill, and was a good run, but my quads were sore, after about 12 miles. The last half seemed tougher, because the turns seemed sharper, and had more tilt to them. I enjoyed the race, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a challenge. Train for the hills, and you should do well!

  3. Did you PR?

This was not a PR, as the course was more difficult than I was prepared for.

  4. How would you describe the course?

It was very nice downhill except for miles 11 to 15, with slightly rolling uphills.

  5. Tell us about your training.

I trained for hills, but not enough downhill training. We only have a few hills in Southern Indiana, and I signed up short notice. with only a month and half hill training.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Do hill repeats on as many downhill courses you can find.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Pikes Peak, was a very nice place to see spectacular mountain scenery!

10 from Evansville, Indiana came for the race
