Strong Start; Focus on Consistency Needed Jeff displayed a promising start in his marathon performance. The initial 5 miles were impressive, maintaining consistent paces well below 6:45 min/mile, peaking at a 5:50 min/mile pace at the 3-mile mark. His early strategy placed him prominently, ranking 106th overall by mile 4. In the middle miles, however, Jeff showed signs of slowing, recording a 7:05 min/mile at the 12-mile mark. As the race progressed, a notable decline was apparent from mile 18, where the pace slowed to 11:04 min/mile. Despite these challenges, Jeff remained competitive, finishing in the first half of participants in his division with a time of 4:31:54. Focused training on maintaining pace longer into the race and strategizing better distribution of energy could potentially improve endurance and finish results. As part of the "Double Downhill Warriors," Jeff contributed commendably to the team's efforts. Keep building on this strong foundation for future events.
