Strong Start with Consistent Middle Splits Amy showcased a stable performance throughout her half marathon, covering the 13.1 miles in a total time of 3:00:24, maintaining an average pace of 13:46 min/mile. Starting the race strong, she completed the first mile in 11:45, and kept close to this pace in several mid-race segments, such as mile 5 at 11:40 and mile 6 at 12:07. Amy finished 773rd in her gender category and 107th in the F30-34 division out of 1608 participants. While Amy's splits initially showed promising times, her pace slowed during miles 10 and 11, recording the slowest split at mile 11 with 17:41 min/mile. Nevertheless, Amy regained some momentum towards the end, finishing the last mile with a split of 15:28. Keeping the late race energy consistent could be an area to focus on for future races. Overall, Amy’s race represented a commendable balance of endurance and consistency.
