His average pace was 8:23 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. The early part of the race saw some impressive splits, such as mile 3 at 7:20 min/mile and mile 7 at 7:14 min/mile. His performance was consistent within his age group, landing at 122nd place in the M50-54 category among 2690 participants.
