Consistent Early Pace with Late Challenges Ashley Repholz demonstrated impressive pacing in the 2025 REVEL Mt Charleston Marathon, especially during the first half of the race. Starting strong, she completed the initial mile with an 8:25 min/mile pace. Notably, she improved her pace significantly from mile two onwards, with her fastest split at mile seven, clocking a brisk 6:42 min/mile. During this early stage, her placement steadily improved from 997 overall to 860 by mile seven, showcasing her strength and consistency among over 2,690 participants. However, in the latter part of the race, Ashley encountered some pace challenges. From mile 18 onwards, her split pace reduced, moving from a solid 8:24 min/mile at mile 18 to a slower 10:11 min/mile by mile 23. Despite this, she maintained an overall pace of 8:07 min/mile for the 26.2-mile course, finishing with a time of 3:32:48. A focus on later-stage pacing strategies might enhance endurance over the entire marathon distance.
