Consistent Splits with a Steady Pace Guangyi Sun showed a notable ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the 2025 REVEL Mt Charleston Marathon. He completed the marathon in 3:16:02 with an average pace of 7:28 min/mile. Splitting the race into parts, he started with a split time of 7:54 for the first mile but quickly accelerated to a 6:39 pace at the third mile. Notably, his timing was almost uniform from mile 9 to 16, consistently clocking around a 7:09 min/mile pace. In the later stages of the race, some slowdown was observed after the 22nd mile, marking split times between 8:04 to 8:56 from mile 22 to mile 25. However, Guangyi managed to maintain solid placement and finished 645th overall among 2690 participants, 523rd out of all males, and 98th in his division (M35-39). Continuing to work on the latter race portions could lead to even better results in future races.
