Strong Finish with Controlled Pacing Dan managed an impressive marathon with an overall pace of 8:31 min/mile, clocking a final time of 3:43:33. His strategic pacing was evident as he started with a 9:28 min/mile and progressively sped up. Notably, Dan's fastest splits were at mile 20 (7:42) and mile 21 (7:38), showcasing his ability to conserve energy and accelerate effectively in the latter part of the race. Throughout the run, Dan gradually improved his standings from an overall position of 1650 at mile 1 to finishing 1345th among 2690 participants. Although he experienced some slower segments like mile 6, with a time of 10:46, he responded well by regaining pace late in the marathon. Given his consistent ability to speed up when needed, future training could focus on maintaining pace during challenging segments for even better results.
