Strong First Half with Consistent Pacing Erika maintained a consistent pace throughout the half marathon, starting with an impressive 8:38 min/mile for the first mile. She continued to perform well, maintaining a pace between 8:43 to 9:00 min/mile through mile 9. Her strongest split was at mile 7, with a time of 8:31 min/mile. At the halfway mark of roughly 6.5 miles, she was placed 230th among female participants in her age division. In the latter half of the race, there was a gradual deceleration in her pace, with the last three miles recorded at paces over 9:00 min/mile. The final mile saw a completion time of 10:06 min/mile. Erika finished with a total elapsed time of 2:00:20 and an average pace of 9:11 min/mile. There's potential to work on endurance in the second half to maintain early pacing. Keep up the great effort in future races!
