Consistent Pacing with Slight Delays in the Latter Miles Brittney Abad displayed consistent pacing throughout the 2025 REVEL Mt Charleston half marathon, particularly in the early stages of the race. Notably, her split pace at the 3-mile mark was 11:28 min/mile, the fastest split of the race, highlighting an initial steady performance. Between miles 4 and 8, her times fluctuated slightly, averaging around 12:00 minutes per mile. In the latter half, splits like the 10th mile at 13:50 min/mile and the 12th mile at 14:31 min/mile suggested a need for endurance focus over longer distances. These later miles increased her overall pace to 12:39 min/mile, compared to her previous race in 2018 with a faster average pace of 12:12 min/mile. Participating with the Turtle Runners team, Brittney completed the race with a total elapsed time of 2:45:47, demonstrating commitment and resilience. A consistent training regime focusing on late-race pace management could be beneficial for future races.
