Consistent Splits and a Division Win Don Williams posted an impressive performance at the 2025 REVEL Mt Charleston Half Marathon. Throughout the 13.1-mile course, he maintained a steady pace, finishing with a total time of 1:19:36 and an overall pace of 6:04 minutes per mile. Notably, Williams excelled in the M40-44 division, securing first place. He remained consistent, particularly in the first half of the race, never slipping below a 5:56 pace. The fastest split he achieved was in the seventh mile with a blistering 5:37 pace. Although maintaining consistency throughout is commendable, a slight decrease in speed was observed in the later miles, specifically miles 11 and 12, where the pace increased beyond 6:30. Considering the impressive overall performance and division victory, focusing on maintaining or slightly improving speed in later splits could enhance future results. Despite finishing 11th overall, the strategic approach to racing paid off with a strong division win.
