Consistently Strong Performance Despite a Challenging Finish Brendan commenced the marathon with a solid start, clocking the first mile at a pace of 6:45 min/mile. Impressively, he picked up the pace shortly after, achieving the fastest split during mile 15 with a pace of 5:43 min/mile. The majority of Brendans race maintained an excellent pace below 6:00 min/mile, indicating consistent strength and endurance. Although Brendan encountered a slower final pace at 10:04 min/mile during mile 26, he displayed determination by maintaining an average pace of 6:28 min/mile for the entire 26.2 miles. Notably, he remained competitive within his division, securing 4th place in M30-34, and stayed within the top 20 overall and for his gender throughout much of the race. Acknowledging the variations in his last few splits, targeting consistency during the final miles could enhance overall results. Congratulations on a strong performance, Brendan!
