Consistent Early Pace with a Challenging Finish Spencer showcased a steady start in his marathon at the 2026 REVEL Mt Charleston. Notable early mile splits include a 7:08 min/mile in mile 3 and 7:02 min/mile in mile 7. He maintained a consistent pace with multiple splits in the range of 7:21 to 7:29 mins up until mile 17. Spencers strategic pacing saw him holding a place in the top 10 of his division in most of the initial miles. In the latter section of the course, from mile 18 onward, Spencer experienced some slowdowns, finishing with an overall time of 3:24:58. The pace in the final miles dropped, and the segmentation shows an 8:16 min/mile in mile 22 and a 9:49 min/mile in mile 24. Despite these increases, Spencer ensured a 7th placement in his division M55-59. Exploring strategies for late-race pacing could prove beneficial next time, but overall, solid performance showing fortitude.
