Consistent Splits, Strong Finish Marc began the marathon at a steady pace of 9:14 min/mile and showed remarkable consistency early on, maintaining sub-9-minute miles from miles 2 to 4. His pace remained steady in the mid-8-minute range through mile 7. This strategy possibly contributed to his ability to maintain position through a significant portion of the race, specifically between miles 3 to 10, where he hovered around the middle of the pack in his division. During the second half of the marathon, Marc experienced a gradual slowing of pace, with the final miles seeing paces over 10 minutes per mile.
