Steady Progress and Strong Finish Gabriela began the race with a 10:29 min/mile pace, gradually improving her pace by nearly 90 seconds per mile by mile 4. From mile 5 onwards, her pacing remained relatively consistent, averaging around the 9:50 min/mile mark. Impressively, her most swift segments were logged at miles 4 and 6, each with a pace of 9:01 min/mile, demonstrating strategic bursts of speed. Placement-wise, Gabriela displayed remarkable improvement, moving from her initial overall position of 973 up to 596 by the race's conclusion. Her most significant leap was from mile 10 to mile 11, advancing from 624 to 528 overall and climbing from 40th to 27th in her division. Finishing with a time of 2:09:06, she secured 37th in her age category. Maintaining an increasingly steady pace early on will prove advantageous for further enhancements.
