Consistent Performance with a Strong Start and Steady Endurance Isaac exhibited a remarkably consistent performance throughout the marathon. Beginning with a solid pace of 8:48 min/mile in the first mile, he soon shifted gears to reach a pace of 7:27 min/mile by mile three, indicating a strategic start. His mid-race miles were particularly notable, maintaining a pace close to or under 8:00 min/mile for most of it, peaking with his fastest mile at 7:17 min/mile at the 7th mile. From miles 10 through 17, he maintained an impressive sub-8 pace, showcasing strong endurance. Towards the later miles, a gradual slowdown was observed with longer split times, particularly between miles 22 and 24, where his pace decreased to a 9:15 min/mile. Despite this slow down, Isaac completed the marathon with an overall elapsed pace of 8:18 min/mile. Finishing as the 20th place in his division demonstrates a commendable effort. There is a slight opportunity to evenly distribute energy during the latter part to retain pace.
