  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

I PR'd! Talked with some wonderful people, most of whom I've never met. Races have great people! It really was a fantastic race from start to finish! And thanks for starting on time.

  3. Did you PR?

I did PR. By 15 minutes! At 4:06 I did not BQ but I took a huge step toward it. I will get there at a future Revel race. Maybe Canyon City.

  4. How would you describe the course?

The course really was fantastic! Can't wait to do it again! The elevation was long and sloping with very little uphill. I ran Big Cottonwood and had my worst marathon (over 5 hours) because I ran really hard to the mouth of the canyon then had to run up Wasatch and that killed me. This course doesn't have that and it really helped. Plus I trained better this time as well.

  5. Tell us about your training.

TRAIN DOWNHILL! I have been running the closest downhill course to my house for Saturday long runs and it helped a ton. Also, get a core strength program and work specific muscles that are used on downhill.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

I live in LV but it's nice to have a race at the center of Phoenix, LA and SLC and in Vegas where rooms are so easy to get. Buy a cheap hoodie at Goodwill and leave it on the course for pick up as you get to warmer temps. Most people already do this.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I live in Henderson, NV. Went home a had a long nap!!
