  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

Woke up early, panicked the weather forecast but went anyway. Glad I did. It was very rewarding crossing the finish line. Hurt like hell that night but was an awesome run.

  3. Did you PR?

Yes. Made it in 4:17 gun time, previous best was 4:50 in Phoenix. Did not qualify.

  4. How would you describe the course?

Can see for miles, few climate zones. Didn't expect the snow though and it to level out the last 5 miles or so -- was really tough after 20 miles of downhill. About the right amount of water stops and restrooms.

  5. Tell us about your training.

Used to run a few half marathons and a marathon each month then did some hiking. My recommendation is endurance/or hike or trail run steep hills to get through any discomfort/ this race was a quad buster.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Pay attention to the weather forecast! But if the weather at the start sucks and at the end is perfect, it'll just make you run faster!

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Before: Ate a ton of carbs/gambled. After: Gambled/had a few drinks.

Great run, look forward to future Revel's. Maybe one with a 10000 foot or 2 mile downgrade in 26.2 miles? That would be pretty cool!
