  1. Overall Rating

    4/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

Race day was well organized with great weather and great course assistance. (The police were the best part! Driving by playing music, saying funny and encouraging things... five star rating to the police that day.) The course was a gentle enough downhill it didn't tear you up as fast as Big Cottonwood but still enough drop in elevation you could cruise down and crush your goal.

  3. Did you PR?

Did I PR? I PR'd so hard I hurled, up-chucked, tossed my gatorade & jolly rancher sour gummies at the finish line trash can. Totally worth it.

  4. How would you describe the course?

A gentle downhill as you run into the rising sun of Las Vegas. As far as elevation goes, perfect for running a fast time. Not much to look at or see from mile 4.5 to 21 but if you're hyper focused on a time goal, this is the course.

  5. Tell us about your training.

Would have trained with more downhill running but alas, it was not possible in my location with bipolar snowy Utah dumping in the canyons every other weekend. Stuck to heavy strength training, cycling, and hill repeats to build up the leg stamina.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

    Wear sunscreen.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Fun things? Racing was the highlight of the weekend! And possibly the burger and salty fries that evening after the race.
