Describe your race day.

Started early, predicted to be cold but it was actually warmer than last year. Great turnout! Course was as predicted except for the last couple of miles did indeed have some hills, they were gradual and not long. Finish line well organized. My only recommendation is that parking be available at the finish. Being a local, we knew where we could park that was close without having to use the shuttle system.

How would you describe the course?

Scenery is beautiful through the mountain. Was concerned about the winds but they turned out to be a non-issue for most of the race.
Tell us about your training.

Mostly cross training, weights, should have done more long runs.
What advice would you give future runners?

Dress warm for the start line, use the drop bags, you will warm up quickly as you descend the mountain. Sunglasses are a must as you are in the direct sun coming down the mountain.
What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I'm a local, so I went home and hit the pool! But for those traveling to Vegas, the list is endless for the amount of fun things you can do here - a great location for an event.
