  2. Describe your race day.

The race start was well organized with cool temperatures which was a nice start to the race. I had read the article which described the course which provided a very accurate and detailed description of the course which really helped my race day. It was a gradual downhill and super scenic with a nice tailwind. Felt great until mike 23 when the wheels fell off but was still able to finish with a time that is my second fastest with not much training. I will definitely be back.

  3. Did you PR?

Almost, missed it by 1min 30 seconds but was even trained to get that close so I was supper happy!

  4. How would you describe the course?

Scenic, gradual downhill with only a few real small hills. Didn't notice the elevation after the initial climb. Temperatures were great as well as the strong tailwind.

  5. Tell us about your training.

My longest run was 16 miles once...not my normal but work has been requiring more time so I did as much as I could in following Hanson's.

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train for the downhill, be patient and don't go out too fast.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Not too much just a quick trip from Phoenix
