I was very uncomfortably cold for the entire hour prior to the race start. There were no heaters, our warm clothing bags were relinquished too early, and we had to throw away our marlar blankets at the race starting line. It was a miserable experience for me. The 100% polyester shirts were not a fan favorite either.

However, everything else, including packet pickup, course markings, volunteers, and finish offerings were quite well done.

Thank you for a wonderful race experience!
Race was organized very well, thank you for the warming blankets and the heaters at the top. Could have used a few extra porta potties at the top.
Course was beautiful and aid stations were perfect.
Love to come again someday and rerun the course!
Thank you from the six of us from Canada!

This was our 3rd Revel race. They have logistics down and run a better race than most of the majors. They sent regular email updates re transportation, etc and even a reminder with bib # a couple days before the expo. Expo was efficient and a knowledgeable coach gave a PowerPoint walking through the course - very useful tips. The race hotel - Tuscany Suites - was a fairly priced oasis just off the strip. (We have stayed there twice - I recommended to friends from our running group who joined us for the race.). Buses were plentiful, on time and had bathrooms. Yes it was a little cold (~25F) after the drop off, but I planned ahead and brought a down coat w hood and a garbage bag to shed wind after I had to drop the gear bag. There were at least a dozen gas heaters - though I didn’t need them. The air is thin and it was a little cold for the first mile, but by mile 5 I had shed layers and was happy in a singlet and shorts. The course in interesting and technical with the elevation changes. You start to the east at dawn. Sure glad I brought sunscreen. Finish temp 55 F, but felt comfortable due to tailwind. I had my first BQ at Revel White Mountains in 2024 and improved by 3 minutes at Mt Charleston. They provide 8 photos and a personalized video w race fee. I ran NYC 1/2 two weeks ago and that same package was $90.00. Well staffed Aid Station were @ mile 5 (all that was needed) then about every 3 and later 2 miles. After the race you are offered a cold towel and snacks. Gear bag pick up was efficient. Revel printed your results on a poster w BQ acknowledgment immediately. Results, splits and photos came out in stages over 18 hours. After race Revel was responsive via email re a hick up in the results reporting. There are a lot of great races, Mt Charleston is certainly one I recommend.

Very well done! The marathon course is beautiful and lightning fast. Great road markings and use of technology. Makes me wonder why the world major marathons do not offer the same opportunities for real-time audio with mile splits. For future racers I would recommend wearing layers (chilly start) and shedding as the race progresses. Aid stations were excellent and well staffed. Overall, a fantastic race experience!

This was my first half marathon. The course is beautiful and fast. All the volunteers were amazing. They made it very simple and easy to enjoy this run. It will be on my must run again list.

What makes me to appreciate is not just about the fast and beautiful course but all the efforts that the staff and volunteers made in the cold weather for the race. By far, among all the races I've run, 2024 Revel Mt Charleston Marathon was the most thoroughly organized one for me to be truly satisfied and rewarded. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers!

Ran it in 2024. It's fast. The first 20 miles or so are mostly downhill, with a few very small uphill sections. The last 4-5 miles are tough once it flattens out.
I made a mistake and put my outer clothes in the bag drop and ran the race in a tank top and shorts. The first 4-5 miles are really cold. I'm talking freezing. I should have wore long sleeves and tossed it early in the race once it started warming up.
Overall organization for this race was great. Kit pickup and expo were good. The bus schedule went smooth.
Highly recommend this one, can't wait for Utah in the fall.

I'm hooked on Revel Race Series! Love, Love the downhill course! PR'ed Big Bear Half Marathon in November 2022 with a time of 1:42:08 so I decided to give marathon running another try. Mt Charleston Marathon was my 6th marathon but 1st marathon since 2017, when I decided marathons weren't for me. Previous PR was 4:34 at Napa Valley Marathon in 3/2015. Crushed it at Mt Charleston with a time of 3:27:24. BQ'ed with a 27+ minute cushion! Can't wait to run Big Bear Marathon and get a new PR (hopefully)! Highly, highly recommend MTC for your BQ race!

Enjoyed the run and qualified for Boston! Is it possible to coordinate morning bus rides to arrive at starting point later? The weather cooperated; but it could have been much worse sitting on asphalt from 4;15 until 6:00. Not good.

My biggest mistake was that I didn’t have my Shoelaces tight enough. I lost several toenails but still managed a 3:11 marathon. The folks were fabulous. The course was almost dreamy it was so wonderful. I will be back to run inApril 2023 The only part that was pitiful was picking up the drop bag after the race. Lesson learned… just don’t use it..Who wants to wait in a very long, slow moving line after running 26.2 miles?

I am again disappointed that your race is not cup-free. I have witnessed trash on the course after every event.
Other races in sensitive areas use this method to eliminate trash. I wish your company would.
