Truly steady down hill....
Yes I PRd!!! No not where I need to be for Boston but I'll be back next year !
Steady downhill course .... should PR here no problem!
I focused on long runs on Saturday or Sunday... and shorter run during the week , hill work , speed work are part of my short run training ... and finally balance training with the gym , swimming ect...
This one is all downhill , you need to have some training that gets your body adjusted... clothes are personal , it is cold at the start on this race , but warms up significantly as you hit mile 5/6...
This is Vegas!!! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas !#getrachet
I would only challenge one thing... more water stations as you get into higher mileage ... anything after 19 miles may require more then the standard ... outside of that loved it ! Really good job !!!!!
Great race! It was organized and well thought out. I would do it again!
No

I should have trained more.
Train

Great race day. Loved the course. The out and back on the frontage road was brutal.
I had a masters PR. I had faster times in my 30's
Loved the downhill but am really beat up after completing it. Didn't like the out and back on the frontage road. I didn't care for the distances the timing stations were set up. First quarter, 12.5 and third quarter. I find it confusing. I did like the one at the last mile. My husband was tracking me and knew exactly when to be at the finish.
I focused on downhill but I did Boston 11 days before this race.
Train downhill. 20 miles of downhill sounds great but it is really hard on the bod!
Lots of good food.
I will be back and bring friends. Thanks for the great event. Loved the purple shirt and socks.
Absolutely fabulous...with exception of the wind...an amazingly well ran event!
No. Was not trying to set a PR or get a BQ. Just needed. Spring marathon for training. Will definitely put this run at the top of this list when I want to set those goals again.
Magnificent!!! The Mt Charleston area is gorgeous and then drop into the beauty of the desert. But the road and trade were a perfect decent and even the last 6 miles were motivating and enjoyable with no shocking hills. The support was outstanding with adequate port a potties, well stocked replacement and friendly volunteers.
Focused on Training for a full Ironman so am in a base building phase. Training was not for speed or a PR. Did some downhill training runs for long run as the Revel training recommend and was very helpful.
Lots of layers using throw away clothes to peel as you go, pretty chilly at the start. Apply sunscreen even though it is cold you will get burnt in the spectalarly sunny Nevada sunshine. And do some quality down hill training runs as they recommend.
Short hike at Red Rock Canyon before packet pick up to loosen legs after the flight. Lunch at Yard house at the Red Rock Casino which was pretty close to packet pickUp. Although expo was sort of small great vendors and fun shopping! Got a couple a fantastic deals on great equipment. Pool time at the condo for post race recovery....ahhhh!!!!
It was a very organized race, I did enjoy it and can't wait for next year !!
I Had to do the half only because I am pregnant I did the full last year and I will PR and be a Boston qualifier next year !!
Really nice I loved it !!
I would run more miles per week of course I do crossfit and boot camp just need to add more running
Never give up !!
Went shopping and had lunch with my runner partner
Love Revel
Love Running Revel

Not today
Fast
Lots of downhill
Train for down hill
Race day was well organized and "ran" smoothly. There were so many amazing volunteers as well! I look forward to running Revel again next time!
The course was beautiful and serene.
My training included by regular routine (5-10 miles per week) and eating a bagel with PBS & honey the morning of.
So so cold to start! The traffic for the shuttle parking was insane but everything moved smoothly. I had so many friends there with me it was totally a social event!
Yes! Beat my first half time by 41 mins!
Beautiful and FAST. Never really felt too crowded. Was NOT expecting the little hill at mile 10 or the overpass. Thought it was downhill until mile 8 then was level to the finish.
Loved every minute of this race for so many reasons
Great! I love the downhill! Ran w a friend who struggled so i left her and BQ'd. Ran barefoot for a while because my shoes were hurting... LolYOU NEED PEOPLE RUBBING ICYHOT ON CALFS AT MILE 19... PLEASE!Also coke and pepsi at finish line.
Yes. I usually run a 4 hr marathon. I got 3:52 but could have done better if i hadnt waited for friend. I will be 45 at boston next year so that makes it a BQ! Right?
Downhill till mile 21, a few rises... No biggie.. then flat... Start praying.
Tues, thurs 4 to 6 miles. Long runs on sat. I actually spent 2 wks in italy in April so i didnt get my 20 miler. Oh well... Im over it.
Laquinta only 10 min away... Has late checkout!Course.... Train downhill if possible and plan on sore calfs. We did Olive Garden but usually do a salad or sandwich place. Vegas has plenty of choices.I wore the mt char race shirt. Loved it! But i do wish i had my tank top on. It warmed up.My shoes. Ugh. I struggled thru my entire training w my shoes causing lots of psin to my toes. Finally decided to wear new saucony for race day! Toe pain held off till mike 23 yay! BUT i did wear the REVEL socks... LOVED THEM.windy weather.... Actually wasnt to bad till the out n back....
Food. LolWe traveled from Mesquite, NV
You need people rubbing icy hot on calfs at aid stations after mile 19. And coke and pepsi at finish line. Ask elks. Loved the charter busses!!! Thanks!
P.S. YOUR RACE COURSE WAS 26.4.... yikes.... So hard to perfect for everyone! Your doing great though
Yes, beat my old PR by 18 minutes
Beautiful! Grade was easy & smooth.
