    2. Describe your race day.

Great course, put together and managed very well; new PR by 8 minutes. Love the Revel Series.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes, by 8 minutes...2:55!!! Yes, qualified for Boston!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Perfect! Seemed like 98% downhill but not too steep so my legs never felt trashed. Even better than Big Cottonwood and Canyon City!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Didn't really have a plan. Recommend people stop worrying so much about what those who think they know what they are talking about tell them and find out what works for them personally.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Get out and experiment. When it comes to the weather, always plan for the worst and hope for the best.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Eat, eat some more, then slept.

    2. Describe your race day.

I just closed my musical last night so I was short on sleep. I was super tired, but excited this morning. Got to the buses with plenty of time and everything went great. I loved my team that I was racing with and the scenery was awesome.

One piece of advice was a better start announcement? I had no idea the race started til I saw people running in front of me.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes by 28 minutes! I can't believe how well I did today - I almost cried.

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Beautiful overall.

The overpass stuff was a little rough since the hardest part of the race was towards the end, but it was great.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I had a half marathon two weeks ago so I have been well trained for this as far as distance. Wish I would have done at least one more long downhill run.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Make sure to practice downhill running. Layers are good so you can shed them. Bring sunglasses. Body glide is your friend.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I loved the band after and the atmosphere. We hung out, stretched, shopped the awesomely priced merch and went to breakfast. We are local.

    2. Describe your race day.

Busses were easy to get to and we were able to stay on the bus once we got to the start to keep warm. Plenty of potties for everyone. The start was a bit of a hike from the drop off, so we missed the official start by a few minutes. The course was great, lots of support, great volunteers. Finish line treats were awesome! Loved the pizza and pie! Weather was perfect.

    3. Did you PR?

We didn't PR, but we were mainly running for fun. We totally would have if we had tried, though!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Beautiful desert landscape with a nice downhill grade.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I haven't been super consistent since my full in February and that hurt me. I would recommend finding a plan that fits you and being consistent.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

As far as traveling, I drove out from Phx Friday and drove back Saturday after the race... I'm wishing I had stayed an extra night. Definitely plan for any type of weather! It was snowing at the start of the full in May!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We had dinner the night before and lunch after the race. It was a short trip, though, so I didn't do to much other than eat, sleep and run. I came from Phoenix, AZ

    2. Describe your race day.

Great weather, great course, nice buses stayed for us to stay warm. Had blood pressure drop to low after the race and medics were wonderful. Would have loved to fine Chocolate milk at the finish. The pie was surprising good after a run.

    3. Did you PR?

      No but very close.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Crazy nice first 8 miles the little up and down at the end took it out of me. The scenery was nice but the gray sky dimmed it.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Coming off injury so training was not super. Did lots of hills focusing on down hill form. Altitude was a non-issue for the half.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Run it! If you train well it will get you a PR.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Enjoyed the Las Vegas Strip for the very first time. Ended the day after total milage for the day of just shy of 30 miles. great to keep sore legs moving.

    2. Describe your race day.

Great race,,,,superb course and weather,,,,I want every serious runner to know this Revel Rocks the Marathon. Course support, logistics, crowds at the end, after race medals and volunteers, check in, it all was great. Hope next year grows bigtime as Revel deserves, just keep the price realistic and runners will be begging to get in...........thanks for a great day, I did ok but three marathons in three months took its toll, but I still BQ'd, M. Serrin- old guy from San Diego

    3. Did you PR?

didnt PR but did BQ, even better.......missed pr by 15 minutes but its been quite a few years

    4. How would you describe the course?

A bit steep at the beginning but definately a fast course overall as downhill training is a must to do well here, scenic until 21, then typical suburbs finish but still good.

    5. Tell us about your training.

did downhill long run repeats for this course and it definately helped during and afterwards, much less soreness

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

look forward to running fast and smooth as long as they train long downhills and uphills for this course, also dress in layers, sunglasses, long sleeve shirt, marathon type shoes not flats, salt tablets as they are not provided on course

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

did the usual Blackjack tables, cleaned out Vegas,,,I wish, just resting up for the race as it was I day in and out. Glad the weather was good. Came from San Diego

    2. Describe your race day.

Well organized race! Looking forward to next year (and maybe some road trips to participate in your other races).

    3. Did you PR?

No PR for me this time; 7 minutes slower than my other downhill course PR. I didn't train as much, so it wasn't a surprise that I didn't set a new PR. Still a great time!!

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Very pretty course.

    5. Tell us about your training.

      Not much training at all.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Layer and shed more than you think you should before it starts.

    2. Describe your race day.

I am an older runner who has run every major marathon, and nearly every half marathon in the USA. Without equal this was the best event from beginning to end. The web site was brilliantly designed and easy to use. The Expo, though small was amazingly efficient and the race day organization was efficient and first class. The course management by race organizers and local Law Enforcement made the day very easy for the runners. Finally, the finish line with cold water, pizza and variety of pies was a welcome surprise. The after race setting was great especially the photo ops options and the ability to print out your individual race results. I enjoyed the course even though I had a slow race day. I congratulate you on an OUTSTANDING event and baring injury I will return next year.

    3. Did you PR?

NO. I live locally, so this was an early training plan run as I prepare for another event. However, next year I will target this event and try to establish a PR.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Gentle downhill, smooth level surface with no potholes or dangerous cracks or debris the first 8 miles. The final 5, which was essentially my first RAGNAR relay run in 2013 was much better then I expected. The traffic control and cones made it very easy to run without concern for the heavy vehicle traffic during the final 2 miles. The hill in the final mile should be listed in your course description and be given a catchy name like "Heartbreak Hill" of Boston fame. This course was excellent and well staffed by Aid stations, law enforcement and ambulances on standby. The only irritant was the busses leaving the area during the race. Living locally, I do know the only other options would be to drive the busses out through the other side of the canyon or wait for all runners to finish the 8 mile leg. This is not a cost effective option and would only cause traffic issues in that area.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I did not train to run this event for a PR. It was a training day for another event. However, I was pleased with my conditioning run. My two training partners, husband and wife (Burrows) both ran their own race and easily set PR's which was described to me over breakfast later. My advice to others is that this course is tailor made, weather permitting, for a PR, and that would be a great reason to run this event.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Make a trip to this event a vacation. The entry fee is very reasonable and a few days in Las Vegas can be fun. I have run the Rock 'n Roll Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon in the recent past and both events are well organized and fun in their own right. However, they are expensive and very over crowded especially as you wait in a crowded corral to start the race then after the run have a half mile or more walk on the strip to your hotel or car park.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I live locally so after the race it was breakfast at the Bagel Café with my running mates. We made it home just before the heavy rains started.
