    2. Describe your race day.

They misled about the downhill and it wasn't really scenic like Canyon City. Medal is nice though. Won't be back to Mt. Charleston.

    3. Did you PR?

      Yes I did.

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Terrible

Um, you do realize you are the only person (so far) to rate this event below a 4 right? Ok, there may be one or two 3's floating around but you get my point. Also, what are you smoking? "mislead about the downhill..." Other than a short climb at mile 4, a loop around a parking lot at mile 5, pretty flat for a bit from 22-25, and the overpass at mile 25; which was pretty small, the entire course was downhill. And trying to compare the scenery to that of Canyon City is comparing apples and oranges; you knew it ended in Las Vegas, if you were expecting pines trees and quaking aspens you should sign up for Big Cottonwood. However, congrats on your PR, nice work!

    2. Describe your race day.

This was the most organized marathon I have ever participated in. The buses were on time, ports potties were set up, race started on time, water stations were well stocked, plenty of law enforcement and friendly volunteers, great signage, awesome medals and plenty of food and water at the finish!! Super impressed with this race series all the way around!!

    3. Did you PR?

I did not PR because I ran with my husband who chose this as his first half marathon but we were very happy with his time!!

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Beautiful!!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Trained with my husband and encouraged him.

    2. Describe your race day.

Awesome!! Snow flurries at the start but temps warmed up as we descended down the mountain. The scenery was gorgeous!!!

    3. Did you PR?

PR'd by almost 12 minutes and met my BQ standard by almost 15minutes!!!

    4. How would you describe the course?

The course is gorgeous!! You will want to drive the course the day before or after the race to take pictures. I drove it the day before and took close to 30 pictures and I still failed to capture the true beauty of the course. The grade is gentle. Being from Florida I was concerned about the starting elevation but it was a non-issue.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I live in Florida so the only hills I have to train on are a few bridges. I supplemented my running with strength training and that really helped.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Babystack's Pancakes for your pre- race carbo load. They have awesome pancakes inspired by cupcake flavors.
A visit to Red Rock Canyon is an absolute must ( allow about 3-4 hours).
Hoover Dam is another impressive sight to see.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon.
      Travelled from Florida.

    2. Describe your race day.

This was my first full marathon. Loved the weather, not like regular desert weather in this season. Everything was well organized starting from race packet pickup. All volunteers were very supportive and friendly. Loved the revel. Would like to do more races in future.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes as this was my first and I did a good job. Last 3-4 miles were tough but I enjoyed and very much satisfied. No Boston,

    4. How would you describe the course?

Course was great, loved the scenery. Last few miles were tough for me but may be because it was my first. Would like to do again next year for sure.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Training went well. I included few down hill runs in Red Rock canyon. 22 miles was my distance before this during training.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Do include downhill running in your training if you are going to run revel.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I live here in Vegas only so nothing extra during the race time

    2. Describe your race day.

Weather forecast was scary with 32 degree, snow, rain but turned out to be a great race weather. I dresses like onion with many layers. Shuttle driver was lost missed the left turn, we had about extra 10 mile drive.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes. My time at Revel Azusa was 3:39:27, did 3;36;08 nicer cushion for BQ . My qaulifying time is 3:40

    4. How would you describe the course?

Loved it. Run aid stations and CHP support was great.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Speed work once a week, weekday tempo run, 2 long runs (10 - 12miles) on the weekend back to back days to get the marathon feeling on the legs without running 18-20+ miles.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

carbo load the entire week leading to the race not the last night, no training the entire last week, rest, recover entirely be ready for your big day.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Not much go over your nutrition plans, some socializing.

    2. Describe your race day.

One of the best-organized races I've ever done. Awesome course, great volunteers.

    3. Did you PR?

      Yes! 1:43! No BQ :(

    4. How would you describe the course?

The snow at the start was awesome! Good job arranging that with Mother Nature :)

      Practice running downhill!

    2. Describe your race day.

I loved that there were space blankets for the beginning because it was a bit chilly. I liked having water stations so frequently along with bathrooms if needed and the gels were provided for. The course was perfect and the volunteers were amazing. It was the best race I've ever ran! I'll definitely come back and do this one again. The energy was unmatchable.

    3. Did you PR?

I did PR. I ran a half just 3 months back and had focused more on my training and was excited about the slight downhill of this course. I ended up with a PR of over 15 minutes!

    4. How would you describe the course?

The grade was perfect. Not too hard on my body. Today was a perfect running down but would be much harder in the heat.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I was fortunate to train at 6000' and did 2 runs a week (one long and one 3-4 miler) and then cross trained 3 days a week. It worked very well for me. My body rested from running while building strength.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Make sure you pay attention to the weather. You don't want to be left having too many layers or not enough.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Went to the strip, the south outlets, and hung out at the pool.

    2. Describe your race day.

We stayed in Vegas. Parked as instructed. Everything went smooth. It was really nice to be able to leave the drop bag 15 mins before race start. Kudos to race director for organizing such an Awesome race. The road was smooth!! That goes a long way - in making runners happy! Volunteers were Awesome!!!

    3. Did you PR?

No, but I did BQ. I was on course to PR but by mile 20 my quads were toast.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Smooth - Runner Friendly - didn't have to worry about road holes/chunks.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Was using Hanson but life interruptus - did the best I could.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

You will love this race - but get your hill training in!!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Vegas Baby! I'm from Texas. We drove - hubby won't fly.
