Consistent Pace and Strong Finish in M45-49 Division Kelson Powell maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 REVEL Reno Tahoe Marathon, showcasing impressive splits from start to finish. He achieved his fastest split at mile 10, clocking in at 6:49 min/mile. Consistent performance followed, with most of his splits just above 7 minutes per mile. Despite slight variability in pace during the final miles, ranging from 8:05 to 8:33 min/mile, he remained focused and determined. Finishing with an overall time of 3:15:57, Kelson took 25th place out of 637 participants. In the competitive M45-49 division, he secured an admirable 3rd place. Notably, he improved his position as the race progressed, highlighting his endurance. Encouragingly, he maintained a consistent pace through significant portions of the marathon. Continuing to work on holding the pace during the final miles could further enhance performance in future races.
