Consistent Start, But Late Fatigue Affects Overall Pace Virginia Young of Tampa, FL, showed a strong start at the 2026 REVEL Reno Tahoe Half Marathon, keeping a steady pace with impressive progress. Her early splits exhibited excellent pace consistency, with the second mile showing an improved pace at 9:48 min/mile. She initially ranked 29th in her division and steadily moved up to 24th by the third mile, reflecting her powerful performance in the F35-39 division. However, towards the end, her pace declined slightly as fatigue set in. Her pace from mile 7 onward slowed, particularly noticeable with a 14:38 min/mile split at mile 10. Finishing the race with an elapsed time of 2:37:03, she placed 32nd within her division. Virginia's ability to start strong was notable, and working on maintaining pace in the latter half of the race could improve future performance. Excellent team spirit was shown as a part of Team Boat Snacks.
