  1. Overall Rating

    5/5 Stars

  2. Describe your race day.

Beautiful scenery and great course. Enough up hill to make it interesting at the beginning followed by consistent downhill to get the average mile time down.

  3. Did you PR?

First half marathon so it definitely was a PR. I was shooting for the 2:00 mark and came in at 1:49.

  4. How would you describe the course?

The half marathon course was really nice. Beside the fact that it was great to be in the mountains, the elevation gains and losses were great. The mix of uphill and downhill during the first half, the consistent downhill during the second half, and the flat to finish the race made it a great setup.

  5. Tell us about your training.

Give myself more time to train (eight weeks ago I was laid up in bed from surgery on my back)

  6. What advice would you give future runners?

Use text alerts for family members, bring more warm clothes than you think you'll need since you can have them shuttled down.

  7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

    Pre-race dinner with friends
