    2. Describe your race day.

However you ordered that snow fall right at the gun start was brilliant! WOW!!! and all 9 of my friends met or exceeded their goals and we're all happy!

    3. Did you PR?

No PR but I did get a BQ and I definitely think this is a PR course. I've just been more fit in the past!

    4. How would you describe the course?

It was awesome! Not as steep as I anticipated from your website and driving it the day before made me a little nervous it wouldn't be as fast I thought. But I was pleasantly surprised at the rhythm I was able to get into. Last four miles were really tough for me but that's pretty normal!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Went great! Tried to downhill for long runs.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Hmmm...I guess just stick with what you know works for you. And weather you can't control just hope the rest of your years are as awesome as today was!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Not much! Dinner and a little shopping. Came from St George, Utah about a 100 miles north of Las Vegas.

I thought this race was awesome and I Love how Revel Does things. I Kinda felt like an elite athlete with free race photos, free gloves and beanie, and charter buses. And I love your refund policy. (Thankful I didn't have to use it) You found an awesome course with this one. If I had two suggestions they would be ice cold water at the finish line, I wanted some soooo bad!!! Also, coke at the finish line and maybe at some of the aid stations. I've learned from triathlons that coke gives you quick energy and settles your stomach. I wish marathons would start offering it:) Thanks for an amazing race!!

    2. Describe your race day.

The expo the day before was very well organized and the swag bags were well thought out for the event, warming blanket for waiting at the start, gloves and beanie. Busing went flawlessly, as near as I could tell, and plenty of potties at the start of the half for the number of runners.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes. Previous half marathon PR 1:49:23
      New PR 1:45:34

    4. How would you describe the course?

Loved it! Easy to follow the signs and very serene.

    5. Tell us about your training.

2 shorter weekday runs, a long weekend run with a day or two of cross training per week.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Do what works for your body and run YOUR race.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I thought the finish line was great! The pie, pizza, bagels and other refuel food were awesome. The finish line announcer was hilarious and did a great job. The tents were great and finishing at a beautiful park was outstanding. I am local Las Vegan.

    2. Describe your race day.

It was a bit cold, but thankfully your staff at pickup told me to dress warm.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes I did, by 3 minutes!

    4. How would you describe the course?

It was beautiful and I loved the downhill. I can't wait to run it next year.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I just got over pneumonia 3 weeks ago so my training was only back up to 6 miles as of the middle of this week.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Dress warm and prepare your legs

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I bought a cool hat! Maybe next year, since you don't let people back in the finish area, you should have a port a potty there. I had to run to the restroom right after my finish and was not able to get back in to get any of the goodies :(

    2. Did you PR?

I beat my PR by 30 minutes from my last Half 6 months ago

    3. How would you describe the course?

Great scenery and perfect amount of elevation

    4. Tell us about your training.

I would increase my weekly mileage in training, I did not train well for this race and hit a wall at mile 11.

    5. What advice would you give future runners?

      Layer up!

    6. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Loved the pie and bagels at the finish. And getting a fun card with your finish time for a keepsake was an unexpected surprise!

    2. Describe your race day.

Great race and organization. Perfect temperature for me.
Now I can tell I did run a marathon through the snow :)
      Awesome race!
      Two suggestions to improve :
-1- hot coffee available at the start would have been great since everything was closed and temperature was in the mid thirties.
-2- a slight bigger bag, so marathoners can wear multiple layers and pants to the start and fit them all in the bag. Cold out there.
      Thermal blanket was great!

    3. Did you PR?

No but I was getting back into marathoning 10 years later. BQ though!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Definitively a fast course (first 21 miles). 3x minimum climb of .25 mi long maximum, and fairly flat finish with an overpass as a 'mile 25 challenge' to finish with great memories.
      I loved the desert!

    5. Tell us about your training.

Not enough, injuries, but one 20 miler in which ended up being sufficient.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Good to bank few minutes before mile 21 to account for a tougher finish (flat and tired). Stay warm

    2. Describe your race day.

The race was super organized from the buses (I was one who didn't get on a bus at Revel Rockies). Great support and fantastic course. Screaming fast!! MC at the finish was hysterical and I stuck around just to listen to him!!

    3. Did you PR?

I did PR by 4 mins, BQ by 18+ mins! I ran Boston in a few months ago and had a bad race so I came here to BQ for 2017. I will do Boston to Mt Charleston in 2017!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Cool at the start, steeper at the start, more gentle slope as we went down. Last 5 were more flat...not too steep as I was concerned about that....

    5. Tell us about your training.

I admit I read the Revel training page 3 days before but the advice was great---lean at the hips and short quick steps!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Let gravity help you, be comfortable going faster but don't push too much in the steep miles. Stay in North LV and bring throw away to the start

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Go to the strip after! We came from CO so it's nice and warm here!

    2. Describe your race day.

Great race. Started slow to just soak up the atmosphere and really enjoyed myself instead of trying to gun and go all out. I loved being out on the course. I felt a sense of calm away from the city. Water stations were well planned, the shuttles were awesome for allowing us to stay warm before the race. Just an all around fun day.

    3. Did you PR?

I came with the intentions of just running a fun looking half marathon and didn't feel compelled to race. I wanted to just get in a groove and run and enjoy the scenery and other runners. I still finished sub 2 so I'll take it.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Fast for the first 9 miles. First four miles if you do not watch it, you can really go out too fast so you try to reel yourself back in. Around mile 9 you have to do a little work to adjust to not running a descent but it was all good. Great views, cool temps. Amazing

    5. Tell us about your training.

I train year around. This was my first big race since the LA marathon in February of this year. I do a lot of trail running up and down the coast of pacific coast highway at one of the many trails. Two weeks ago, I did 5 miles up and 5 back down at Mt. Wilson. One of the toughest trails and most taxing downhill you will find. Downhill running is my favorite. Now I know the Mt Charleston course, I will come back next year and shoot for a faster time.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Go out conservative in the first three miles then ease into your pace and find a mile pace that is comfortable yet fast enough to compensate for running a slower mile pace around mile 9 to the finish. I staye at the Marriott out on Rainbow road. A lot of food options, close to the race start and a good nights sleep.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I met a lot of first timers. I tried to provide lots of encouragement and just soaked up the atmosphere. I traveled in from Los Angeles

    2. Describe your race day.

I was quite nervous going in, but the course was amazing (as always) and it turned out to be an awesome race! The swag was great & the atmosphere FUN!! Loved the pie and your finish line announcer was GREAT!! Perfect weather

    3. Did you PR?

No. But at my age I feel good just keeping close to former times. I did get a faster time than I did at Big Cottonwood last fall

    4. How would you describe the course?

The scenery wasn't as pretty as Big Cottonwood, but the course was WONDERFUL!!!

    5. Tell us about your training.

I've actually been putting in WAY too many miles & had tired legs coming in - which made me even happier with my time! I don't mind downhill, so Big Cottonwood works well for me. Still, this had a good gradual slope & WAY less uphill so it was great!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

None. Everyone finds what's best for them.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Nothing. Came just for the race

    2. Describe your race day.

Started with a snowy start, amazing and supportive volunteers, beautiful course and a wonderful experience for this first-time marathoner!

    3. Did you PR?

As this was my first marathon, I did PR but did not qualify for Boston.

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Fast, downhill and gorgeous!

    5. Tell us about your training.

My training partner and I trained for a year for this-our base run is 6 miles on the trails 3 days a week with long runs one day on the weekend. For the last month, our long runs (13,15 and 21 mile runs) were run on the mountain following the course. Also did 1-2 days of cross-training (spin, swimming) once a week

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

First and foremost, have fun!! Enjoy the experience, stay close if you don't live here, and wear supportive shoes and socks. Don't eat anything new the day before the race

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      I live here :)
