I paid for a shuttle I didn't have to use.No specific address for transportation made it difficult to use gps.Cars were allowed to get in the runner's lane 3.5 hrs after the race began. Even the ports Potty trucks were in and out of the lanes. For about a mile I had to whistle and yell at the runners in front of me to get on the shoulder because cars had gotten in out lane. There was no escort.3/5 last miles barely had any space for runners. Car were passing very close and fast. It would have been nice if hotels gave a little discount or allowed for late check out w/o a fee.
No, missed it by a few minutes. My Garmin recorded 26.7 Throughout the race our groups gps marked the miles before the course markers.
The course is clean, there is debris. Comfortable, with LOTS of portal potties. THANK YOU! The down hill is tough on the bladder.
This was a training run for an ultra, but we included down hill training to be sure we were ready.
Down hill training running posture (do not lean forward; stand "straight")is important to prevent shin splints. Hid rate days before.Expose yourself to higher altitudes

We went for dinner, but the restaurant was not aware of the event it took a loooong time to seat us down and 1 hrs to serve us; making us late to bed. Hotel was sold out w/runners and wondered why we were asking for a late check out. May be Chamber of Commerce and make an announcement on Newsletter.
We didn't do anything before or after aside from dinner. We traveled from Whittier, Ca

Everything was well organized. I appreciate the humorous signs along the course and the many porta potties and water stations. The shuttle service worked very well.
It was a gradual decline. I enjoyed the course.
Great event!

Early wake up call to get to the bus pick up at 4 am. Wish they dropped us off where they picked us up. Had to walk more than a mile to my car. I wouldn’t mind normally but I just ran a marathon! Everything hurts!
Yes. 2 minutes. Boston qualified by 8:30 minutes
Beautiful. Harder at the start of the full for the first 8-9 miles with the uphills. After that, it is downhill. Flat for the last 5k.
Trained on downhill long runs for the last 6 weeks
No need to dress too warm. They provide the foil blankets and gloves. Once you start running, you warm right up
None. Live locally
The Best revel I have run so far. Everything was so organized.
Yes, I qualified for Boston.
Best course ever.
I trained in trails a lot and did a BULLDOG50K.
Train a lot, dedication, set a goal and specially never start to fast at the beginning save energy for the last 5 miles .
Nothing.
Fantastic!!! Beautiful course, volunteers amazing, well organized, great friends and awesome PR!!
Yes !! 14 minutes
Beautiful!!! Loved the downhill and scenery!
Very limited - ran at most 6 miles prior to race day but built endurance strength training
Sign up!!! Great race!
Temecula CAVisited family - from the area
Thank you for everything!!
Loved everything about it. I was about concern about the logistics but everything went smoothly. Parking was easy to find and plentiful and the shuttles back to the car were great. I didn't wait more than a couple of minutes before the bus left. Overall I am satisfied with the organization and execution of this race. Revel never disappoints.
nope
I would have liked to run more down the mountain road than residential areas but overall the course was great. It was particularly beautiful to me because it reminded me of Big Cottonwood.
My training was horrible, so inconsistent and I didn't train downhill!
Must train downhill if Revel Races are in the schedule.

Great conditions and I ran well.
Yes by 14 minutes
Great downhill course
It was good
The only think I would change is it would be nice to have a large tent at the start. It was 32 degrees and very cold.
Thanks to all the volunteers

Bus driver was awful to begin with. Then we get to the start line and they had nothing set up. I am aware and I understand this is their first time doing this in big bear. But I was not expecting it to be that disorganized. On top of that the AMR medical people were so unhelpful in my opinion.
It was beautiful and I ran my best Marathon ever! The weather was perfect.
Yes! By over 30 minutes. I didn't qualify for Boston but I'm hoping for a BQ at Revel Mt. Charleston in April 2019
The scenery was beautiful. The grade was good... Those rolling hills in the first 9 miles were challenging but better in the beginning than the end.
I need to cross train you increase speed by about 15-30 seconds a mile to make my BQ.
I traveled from Las Vegas just for the race.
