The Best revel I have run so far. Everything was so organized.
Yes, I qualified for Boston.
Best course ever.
I trained in trails a lot and did a BULLDOG50K.
Train a lot, dedication, set a goal and specially never start to fast at the beginning save energy for the last 5 miles .
Nothing.
Fantastic!!! Beautiful course, volunteers amazing, well organized, great friends and awesome PR!!
Yes !! 14 minutes
Beautiful!!! Loved the downhill and scenery!
Very limited - ran at most 6 miles prior to race day but built endurance strength training
Sign up!!! Great race!
Temecula CAVisited family - from the area
Thank you for everything!!
Loved everything about it. I was about concern about the logistics but everything went smoothly. Parking was easy to find and plentiful and the shuttles back to the car were great. I didn't wait more than a couple of minutes before the bus left. Overall I am satisfied with the organization and execution of this race. Revel never disappoints.
nope
I would have liked to run more down the mountain road than residential areas but overall the course was great. It was particularly beautiful to me because it reminded me of Big Cottonwood.
My training was horrible, so inconsistent and I didn't train downhill!
Must train downhill if Revel Races are in the schedule.

Great conditions and I ran well.
Yes by 14 minutes
Great downhill course
It was good
The only think I would change is it would be nice to have a large tent at the start. It was 32 degrees and very cold.
Thanks to all the volunteers

Bus driver was awful to begin with. Then we get to the start line and they had nothing set up. I am aware and I understand this is their first time doing this in big bear. But I was not expecting it to be that disorganized. On top of that the AMR medical people were so unhelpful in my opinion.
It was beautiful and I ran my best Marathon ever! The weather was perfect.
Yes! By over 30 minutes. I didn't qualify for Boston but I'm hoping for a BQ at Revel Mt. Charleston in April 2019
The scenery was beautiful. The grade was good... Those rolling hills in the first 9 miles were challenging but better in the beginning than the end.
I need to cross train you increase speed by about 15-30 seconds a mile to make my BQ.
I traveled from Las Vegas just for the race.
everything was great on race day. it’d be nice to have a building for packet pic up cause it was so “kinda unfun” with the rain and mess. that’s all the start of the fun of the race day :). most memorable was the amazing scenery!!!20
20 sec slower than my best but 1 min faster than the canyon city marathon :)
beautiful till the last 2 miles .... the clouds were breathtaking.... the grade was definately steep I only did the half so didn’t notice any elevation issues
it was pretty hot and miss. I don’t reslly enjoy marathons but at 63 need motivation to do something and yours are beautiful and have long finish times for the half so I can walk/jog
not really much. just spent time with my brother who lives here. I am from ohio
thanks for asking :)
Revel Big Bear boasts beautiful views of the mountains . Unfortunately I could not linger long enough to take it all in - had to get BQ and PR. They promised best opportunity for both and delivered. This is the first time I ran a Marathon sub-4 hr. Even with periods of walking due to cramps. Every thing about the race is memorable for me .
Yes I set PR of 14 minutes. QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON!! Second time ; first was with Revel Mt Charleston.
Scenery- breathtaking!!Grade: perfect for possible PR. No hill toward the end !!
I had trained for down hill for Revel Mt Charleston in April . Wasn’t able to train on high elevation but used hills in my town. I fueled better this time . The only thing I haven’t figured out just yet is why I get the cramps. Working on that !!
Want to PR of BQ ? Run a Revel race . Train for down hills as well as up hills . Dress for the finish - cold at top but gets warmer as you descend. If you are over dressed you will be too hot at the lower elevation. Check weather before leaving home. Book hotel early- they seem to fill up quickly.
Travelled from NEW York City.Didn’t get to do much as I flew in for the race and left day of the race . Regretfully so , as this was my first time to California. Drove the rim of the world- breathtaking. Just wish I could have done more .
Well organized
Perfect
Very close
Peaceful. Scenic.
Most treadmill.
Just enjoy the beautiful view
Thanks for a great race!
Thanks
