    2. Describe your race day.

I enjoyed the camaraderie with runners. The scenery and weather was idyllic. I remember hearing the gurgling river while crossing a bridge and feeling one with nature. All the volunteers along the course from the bus driver to the sweet treat distributor were fantastic. Receiving my medal from a fellow Pasadena Pacer was priceless!

    3. Did you PR?

YES! I improved by almost 15 minutes.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Downhill elevation helps propel the body forward.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I trained with the Pasadena Pacers on trails. Hill work transfer to strength and agility.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Stay overnight at a nearby hotel or find a friend to host you. Proximity to the shuttle is helpful and allows time to sleep in!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Old Mill Creek BBQ for Carbo loading was yummy.
      I traveled from Los Angeles.

    2. Describe your race day.

Great weather, although cold at the start line. I got a PR! Hoot, hoot! But a little concerned about the delineation on the race route. Cars too close at times. Great food at the end and a beautiful medal! Would be nice to have sanitizer at the portable potties

    3. Did you PR?

Yes! No Boston, but bettered my pace by 3.5 to 4.5 minutes!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Foggy and gray at first, but beautiful scenery of clouds against the mountains and sunrise. I live in Redlands and am familiar with Mentone, so no surprise or comments on that. Love that the finish line straightaway is not too long like some courses.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I trained 10 miles of the race route a few times before the race.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Try it! You will be surprised how much your pace improves.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      N/A

    2. Describe your race day.

Race day went well. It was an early start to catch the bus ride up the hill. It was smooth and had no issues. Spent the day with great friends and we all finished at decent times.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes, I did PR. My old PR was 1:55. I finished this race in 1:48. So about 7 minutes.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Most would argue that they prefer running down hill, but I did not like the duration of the downhill course. It’s very harsh on the body and for older individuals that pounding isn’t really ideal. I don’t think this course should have Been a qualifier due to the fact that it was all downhill. Someone can qualify here, and not do as well somewhere else because there are actual inclines in most courses. It kind of makes this race look bad by having all these qualifiers, but then they don’t do well when they perform at that qualifying race. It was beautiful outside.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I run about 4x a week. I run anywhere from 3-8 miles. I ran a 10 miler about a week ago. I don’t specifically train for races like I should. I just run.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Keep up the training, it will pay off and you will feel a lot better post race.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Went shopping at the Nike Outlet. I traveled from Jacksonville, NC

Easy from start to finish with everything I could need!

    3. Did you PR?

No but I was on track to for the first time!!

    4. How would you describe the course?

      Beautiful course with moderate inclines.

    5. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Traveled from Houston Texas to run with my mother & grandmother!!

    2. Describe your race day.

      THe views were amazing.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes. Prior PR was 4:59:59 LA Marathon 2016. I didn’t train downhill, I was afraid to let go fully but finished at 4:57:3...
I ended the marathon feeling fresh, no injuries. I know I could have done better if I hadn’t held back. I am still super happy with everything that happened over all.

    2. Describe your race day.

It was good. The drive to Big Bera was long. Maybe a bus with bathrooms would be nice. I know it's expensive, but that would be amazing since it's a long ride. More gels on the course please. Other than that, i really liked it

    3. Did you PR?

Yes. I PRed by 17 minutes and I qualified for Boston, NY, Tokyo, and Chicago with my new PR

    4. How would you describe the course?

nice scenery and the downhill after mile 10

    5. Tell us about your training.

did a lot of hill training till the end when i realized it was downhill and didn't do much downhill training. speed workouts i think helped with the feet turnover when i was going downhill

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Get one of the pace bracelets. Knowing which miles would be tougher/slower than others helped me strategize my race. Bring gels/gu because there aren't a lot available.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      eat and rest

    2. Describe your race day.

You guys are amazing!!! My biggest complaint during races is not enough porta-potties along the route but that is never a problem with your races. This is my third different Revel and ALWAYS PERFECT!

    3. Did you PR?

I did not but that's because I have prior Revel races and I am battling plantar fasciitis. Not your fault... unless you did some fascia voodoo on me.

    4. How would you describe the course?

The views were gorgeous and the fog you ordered up made for beautiful pictures. The route/grade/elevation was agreeable. The flat and climbs were acceptable for a downhill course. I will be back next year.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I'm a bit of a heavyweight so I run to manage my weight and not to break any land speed records. As for the training for this race, I have been limited to running just once a week for the last 4 months do to my plantar fasciitis. Ideally I would 3 or 4 days a week totally 20 to 30 miles. Just couldn't this time.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

If running Revel, TAKE THE BLANKET TO THE STARTING LOCATION. I saw too many people that didn't take it up and they were cold. I'd dress like I would for any normal race since you will warm up with the faster pace you'll be running.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I didn't do much this time. I did stay locally but live in the OC so I could have come straight from home. Thanks again for everything you do.
