    2. Describe your race day.

A bit too early for me but the overall event made it worthwhile. Good parking at Sandy HS, decent trip to start area. The start area was great, a big thank you for the porta potties at start area! Course was easy to navigate, volunteers and aid stations were great and finish area was spacious and welcoming.

    3. Did you PR?

      Yes

    4. How would you describe the course?

Overall good but there was a couple small hills I didn’t realize in the half marathon.

    5. Tell us about your training.

My training wasn’t up to par. I didn’t get enough miles in or weekly long runs to Dad my best effort.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Realize there are a couple small hills and not to let them get in your head when you hit them as they will alter your pace.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

      Visited and made new friends

Would love to try this run again and be better prepared with mileage and downhill training.

    2. Describe your race day.

I loved it all! The Revel races just make me so happy! Such a fantastic series!

    3. Did you PR?

Yes by 3 min but 2 min shy of BQ.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Great! Was worried about the open road but it was not an issue and I felt safe the entire time. Wish the grade would have been the entire way. Lol. Most amazing views!

    5. Tell us about your training.

After 6 Revels I feel confident that I know how to train for these courses. I do a lot of downhill running and downhill sprints!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

You must train your downhill muscles!!!

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Oregon Trail center. Drove the course. Drove to Cannon Beach after the race! My sister and I came from Phoenix and my mom joined us from Nebraska!

    2. Describe your race day.

It’s an early day with the commute from Portland. But I like that. Keep the time. Race went well. First half was great. Second half a little more challenging and a lot of traffic. Got a BQ time!

    3. Did you PR?

No. But I was happy with my time. It’s a fast course that lived up to it’s billing.

    4. How would you describe the course?

First half- great downhill, beautiful scenery, near perfect.
Second half- nice downhill, perhaps too much traffic???

    5. Tell us about your training.

Went well. Did some downhill training on trail, which helped.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

      At least some downhill training.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Stayed until Monday in downtown. Had a great time!

In general, great BQ/PR race! Can’t ask for much more. Just wish there was some way to divert the traffic, or the course, over roughly the second half. Those loud, big trucks seem like they pass real close. Thanks for a very well organized, fun race!

No. 8 min over my pr in revel vegas.

    3. How would you describe the course?

Very good. Last 4 miles wete tough. Elevation chart should be a little more accurate. That's juat my opinion

    4. Tell us about your training.

35-45 miles a week. Last 12 weeks were tough.

    5. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Visit downtown and lake trillium. Came from Riverside, California

    2. Describe your race day.

good course. adequate aid station. nice finish line. little wonky with bus return - had to wait over 30 mins to get on bus shuttle back to Sandy. L

    3. Did you PR?

      no

good course. Little too much downhill in beginning but fast course. little scary on open course where large trucks are zooming past you going 70 mph.

lots of trail running in middle of the day with temp >85. ran a few downhill training runs down big cottonwood

    2. Describe your race day.

      Great day. Great downhill.

    3. Did you PR?

Yes, but did not qualify for Boston.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Great scenery the first 6 miles. After that, the highway is not very interesting.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Lots of downhill technique practice, which made a huge difference. Don't neglect some uphill training, as the final 8 miles or so feel like a climb.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Consider not carrying hydration, as the aid stations are frequent and well supplied. Go as light as possible! I carried a hand held water bottle and a few gummies, but by mile 13 was wishing I didn't have it. If one is sensitive to the heat, try to get into an earlier wave. I went in the last wave and by mile 20, it was getting pretty warm and runners were pretty exposed on the highway with little to no shade.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

I traveled from Florence, Oregon with some of my teammates. We camped near the start and hung out at the campsite and also tried some good food at Wraptitude.

    2. Describe your race day.

It was great to see my running family again this weekend.

    3. Did you PR?

      No.

    4. How would you describe the course?

Typical NW run - rolling hills. Not the downhill I was promised.

    5. Tell us about your training.

I race most every weekend, so that is my training.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Skip it. There are other more scenic runs. Oregon marathon the weekend before has more downhill.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

we live in WA state - driving to downtown Portland on a Friday night to pick up packet was a drag. We went straight to Sandy and the hotel so we could get some sleep.
