    2. Describe your race day.

Excellent organized event at the start, easy and relaxed with plenty of bathrooms!
Great course and well marshaled where it was needed.
Bag pick up was a mess. The bags hadn't been sorted into numbers when we arrived and it took us a long while to find our bags.

    3. Did you PR?

Not today but I didn't expect to. I'd had a chest infection 2 weeks prior. I was very very pleased with the time I did.
My friend PR'd by 7 mins

    4. How would you describe the course?

Course is beautiful. The half is not as downhill as people believe. It was lumpy in places.

    5. Tell us about your training.

It was steady until I got sick 3 weeks out. Prepare with some downhill gradient so you know how your legs will feel.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Be prepared for some little Inclines. Once you reach mile 10 the flat will feel tough

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

We stayed over the night before, the only place to eat really was Hooters - not everyone's idea of night before prep but it worked for us :)

    2. Describe your race day.

It was an awesome experience. Except for the sometime traffic issue everything else was great.

    3. Did you PR?

      Nope :(

    4. How would you describe the course?

Not all downhill. Miles 6 to 7.2 is hilly as well as those nearing the end. But not a bad hill.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Run and did cardio when I can at least 3x week. I did not follow any training plans.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train for distance and cardio...you must. There's plenty of gel, water and gatorade in route so no need to pack like crazy.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Nothing much fun to do but have dinner and left after the race.

      Deceptively challenging

Didn't train well for this race.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Train down hill and train hard on uphills

    2. Describe your race day.

Spectacular weather ! Loved the fact they called out my name as I crossed the finish line!

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

Challenging enough. Scenery was beautiful. My only complaint was that the road was not closed completely and some traffic was driving by very fast.

    5. What advice would you give future runners?

Parking was close to beginning and end, easy to get to buses.

    6. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Got food and a foot massage after. Live in Covina.

    2. Describe your race day.

Such a spectacular race! Well organized, excellent support, beautiful course!

    3. Did you PR?

I PR'd and BQ'd last year but was sick the last 3 weeks and didn't get one work out in! I still ran a sub-4 and still love everything about Revel!!!

    4. How would you describe the course?

Hard! Amazing downhill which leads to a HARD UPHILL but as long as you train on the course at least once, so you know what to expect, it's worth every min!

    5. Tell us about your training.

I train year round with the LA Leggers (the best training group in the world).
We came out and ran the course from mile 22 at the top to the finish, 3 different times and that makes all of the difference in he world! I would just tell people to enjoy the downhill but don't use all of your energy to push too hard. Save it for the second half!

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

RUN REVEL!! Bring lots of layers to the top and just send them back to the finish line- the race is so well organized that you don't even need to throw any of it away.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

Love the support!! The hot chocolate, the Cafe, and just the space and room to find and meet up with friends and prepare for the race!

    2. Describe your race day.

Swag was good! Very well organized from packet pick up to bus rides to start and easy acces/ flow at the finish. The volunteers were amazing! They were friendly, helpful, and plentiful. Thank you for a nice event!

    3. Did you PR?

      No

    4. How would you describe the course?

Beautiful! Grade for the half wasn't bad.

    5. Tell us about your training.

Didn't train but I always try to stay in half fitness.

    6. What advice would you give future runners?

Take advantage of the easy "drop bag" at the start. Go up comfortably dressed and peel before the start. And cell phones will not work in the moutains.

    7. What fun things did you do in the area before or after the race?

If you have time, go on the hike to the Bridge to Nowhere, not so much to see the bridge, although it's good motivation, but for the beautiful hike/ trail run. You may not want to do it the day before the race but it can be run/ hiked in less than three hours. We traveled from San Diego.
